LeBron James and his wife, Savannah James, have been together for a long time.
And Savannah has been there supporting LeBron through thick and thin. However, recently, the Los Angeles Lakers had to unfortunately ditch the Met GALA invitation.
Though in his absence, his better half, Savannah, attended the event.
LeBron has been out of action due to the knee injury he sustainting during NBA playoffs. Taking to his social media handle, the Akron-born superstar shared his heartfelt message through a tweet.
“Unfortunately because of my knee injury I sustained at the end of the season I won’t be able to attend the Met Gala in NY tonight as so many people have been asking and congratulating me on! Hate to miss an historical event! My beautiful powerful Queen will be there holding the castle down as she always has done!” James wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

While he is enjoying his time off the court, LeBron has had many critics pointing at him for faking the injury.

LeBron James Kept Admiring Savannah James Despite Missing Met Gala Event
At the 2025 Met Gala, LeBron James couldn’t help but be in awe of his wife, Savannah James, who absolutely stole the show in a stunning outfit.
Rocking a pinstripe suit with a mermaid-style skirt, Savannah really embraced her curves and brought a blend of elegance and daring style to the iconic event.
She attended to represent LeBron, who was resting up at home due to a knee injury, but still held a special honorary chair position for the gala.
Before the big night, Savannah got everyone talking with a jaw-dropping pre-gala outfit, a burgundy suit with a plunging neckline that definitely turned heads.
However, LeBron was quick to show his love and support on Instagram. He posted a video of Savannah, expressing his excitement with a flurry of heart-eyes and brown heart emojis.
But it’s not just about the fashion for LeBron. He’s been super supportive of Savannah as she navigates her journey outside of being a mom. Recently, he helped promote her podcast, ‘Everybody’s Crazy,’ which is set to return for its fourth season on May 20.
