Alright, the NFL is really living up to its “No Fun League” nickname with this latest fine affecting San Francisco 49ers star fullback Kyle Juszczyk. Fans of football have come to expect celebrations. A player gets a first down? They are gonna follow that up with some sort of emphatic point down the field. A running back or wide receiver gets into the end zone? Get ready for a signature dance of some sort. And if a defense gets a […] The post NFL Fans Call Out The League’s Hypocrisy After 49ers Star, Kyle Juszczyk, Hit With $15,000 Fine For Chug Celly first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Recalls The Only Time His Dad Got In A Fight – And It Was Over A Deer, Not Racing

>

He may have been the Intimidator on the track, but Dale Earnhardt wasn’t exactly one to throw hands after a race. The biggest story in NASCAR this week has been the post race fight between Carson Hocevar and Ryan Blaney following the Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol on Saturday. And fighting is nothing new in NASCAR: The very first fully televised race in the sport’s history, the 1979 Daytona 500, featured a now-iconic fight between Cale Yarborough and […] The post Dale Earnhardt Jr. Recalls The Only Time His Dad Got In A Fight – And It Was Over A Deer, Not Racing first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

“Make Every Grain Of Sand Count” – Wake Forest Coach Goes Viral With Powerful Hourglass Speech About How Quickly Life Moves

> >

The college basketball season is over a month away, and yet, we might already have the best inspirational speech of the year. When it comes to college athletics, and how much the landscape has changed over the past five or so years (with NIL and what not), many have assumed it’s hard to motivate players in the modern day. After all, they used to play for pride, and now many of them are playing for lucrative paychecks. That being said, […] The post “Make Every Grain Of Sand Count” – Wake Forest Coach Goes Viral With Powerful Hourglass Speech About How Quickly Life Moves first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

>

Gave him quite the welcome to Music City. We’ve heard stories before about what a legendary host Eric Church is: Remember Luke Combs recalling his first visit to Casa de Church that ended with the “Hurricane” singer puking in the street? Well apparently iconic sportscaster got the full Church experience when the country music superstar reached out to him out of the blue when he first moved to Nashville. Nantz and Church recently sat down with Chad Mumm on the Vanity […] The post “Who Rolls Out The Red Carpet Like That?” – Jim Nantz Praises Eric Church For The Epic Welcome He Gave Him After Moving To Nashville first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

“We Got The F*** Out Of His Way” — Kenny Wallace Says They Knew How To Race Dale Earnhardt & Drivers Need To Do The Same With Carson Hocevar

> > >

There’s an art to it, and no one did it like The Intimidator. This past weekend at Bristol, the headline that dominated the NASCAR world is the fight that Ryan Blaney and Carson Hocevar got in following the conclusion of the race. Blaney did what a lot of other NASCAR drivers likely wish they had done after a late-race run-in between the driver of the No. 77 car and the driver of the No. 12 car. The wreck sent Blaney out […] The post “We Got The F*** Out Of His Way” — Kenny Wallace Says They Knew How To Race Dale Earnhardt & Drivers Need To Do The Same With Carson Hocevar first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

The Hocevar-Blaney NASCAR rivalry is heating up on the track, off the track, and on the interstate? Joey Logano won at Bristol this past weekend, but that’s been completely lost in the shuffle. One of the trademarks of late, great Toby Keith was always letting people know how he really felt. Evidently, the country star once ran into Barstool Sports founder, Dave Portnoy, and let him know extensively about his hatred for former Oklahoma Sooners football coach, Lincoln Riley. Keith, born in Clinton, Oklahoma, was always a die-hard fan and support of the Sooners. He didn’t actually ever attend the university, but his fandom of the school and his home state led to […] The post “I’ve Never Seen Anyone Hate A Human More” – Dave Portnoy Shares Legendary Story About Toby Keith’s Disdain For Lincoln Riley first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

Man Poses As San Francisco 49ers Player In Wild $1.3 Million Dating App Scam

Though the San Francisco 49ers didn’t have anything to do with this latest story, the strange and oh-so peculiar offseason for the NFL franchise continues. Football season is right around the corner, and I know one California football team called the 49ers can’t wait to get out on the field. Why? Because it’ll help steer the narrative away from their head coach getting into a strange car accident, the team’s owner getting arrested for suspicion of engaging in prostitution, and […] The post Man Poses As San Francisco 49ers Player In Wild $1.3 Million Dating App Scam first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

Color me skeptical, but I have a feeling that it all comes down to money. We’re less than a week away from the start of college football season, with UNC and TCU facing off in Dublin, Ireland for the first game of the season this coming Saturday. Browns QB Deshaun Watson Gets Blasted With Ruthless Memes Amid 49ers Prostitution Scandal

> >

Is Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson the most unpopular player in the NFL? Considering social media is always going after him – especially now as he catches strays during the 49ers scandal – and his own fans seem to enjoy booing him anytime he’s out on the field, I feel comfortable answering that question with a “Yes.” NFL fans would be hard pressed to find a team as dysfunctional as the Cleveland Browns. They are famously a dumpster fire, and […] The post Browns QB Deshaun Watson Gets Blasted With Ruthless Memes Amid 49ers Prostitution Scandal first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

Was it really that big of a deal? “An Honor to Be Here” — Jeff Gordon Celebrates Emotional IROC Victory During Freedom 250 Grand Prix Weekend

> >

He’s still got it. Jeff Gordon swept both races of the star-studded IROC event this weekend, where they competed on a 1.7-mile street course around the National Mall in Washington, D.C. These races preceded the IndyCar race and the inaugural Freedom 250 Grand Prix that also took place on the course, and as a longtime NASCAR fan, I loved seeing Gordon back winning on the track, even with a different series. He of course returned from the Cup Series back […] The post “An Honor to Be Here” — Jeff Gordon Celebrates Emotional IROC Victory During Freedom 250 Grand Prix Weekend first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

“He Was Always In That Mode” — Dale Earnhardt Jr. Says His Father Was Just As Scary Off The Track

Sounds like the lived up to the Intimidator nickname. Dale Earnhardt Jr.  has talked extensively about his complex, at best, relationship with his dad Dale Earnhardt, on his Dale Jr. Download podcast, and the Earnhardt children actually a pretty difficult childhood compared to what most people probably think. Their relationship with their dad seemed to be strained for most of their lives. Wonder why they’re booing you. Deshaun Watson is trying to win back the starting quarterback job for the Cleveland Browns after suffering an Achilles injury midway through the 2024 season that sidelines him for the rest of the year, and having to undergo surgery for re-rupturing his Achilles back in January of last year that forced him to miss the entire 2025 season. Can’t imagine the pain he’s dealing with. Raccoon Living Beneath Citi Field Stands Goes Viral Stealing Peanut Shells & Hot Dogs From Mets Fans

This new trash removal system that Citi Field installed for fans in the stands really works… but it looks a whole lot like a hungry, wild raccoon. Baseball’s regular season is slowly but surely coming to a close.
