Former ESPN employee Kate Fagan appeared on ESPN for the final time after being invited back, and she made sure to make her time worth it.
ESPN mainstay Around the Horn will end its two-decade run on the network on May 23rd. To give the fans what they want, the program brought back some of its favorite panelists for one final appearance.
On Thursday’s episode, former ESPN stars Jemele Hill and Kate Fagan made guest appearances on Around the Horn, where they were regular panelists for years.
Kate Fagan was a prominent ESPN writer who worked for ESPN.com, espnW, and ESPN The Magazine and appeared on Around the Horn and Outside the Lines. She left the network in 2018.
Fagan took full advantage of her return as she took the open mic at the end of Thursday’s show and pushed for transgender kids to play sports.
“Being on this show has been a privilege and a platform, and I know it’s my last time on it, so I want to say something worthy of that privilege and platform,” Fagan began.
You can probably already see where this is going. Any time someone uses both “privilege and platform” twice in the same sentence before saying what they want to say, you can be sure some radical left-wing ideology is coming next.
“Trans kids deserve to play sports,” she said.
