Paul Pierce better get his legs warmed up after his guarantee blew up in his face.

Pierce went on FS1 show “Speak” on Wednesday and guaranteed a Boston Celtics win in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference semifinal against the New York Knicks. Pierce, who is a former Celtics star, was so confident about the win that he said he would walk to the FS1 TV studios in a robe if Boston didn’t come out victorious.

“I’m walking here. 15 miles. In my robe. No shoes on. Barefeet. If the Celtics lose tonight. I’m walking,” Pierce insisted.

Of course, the Celtics blew a 20-point lead and went on to lose 91-90 to the Knicks to fall behind 2-0 in the series.

Pierce was flooded with memes of how he would look walking in his robe.

The Knicks also made a big comeback in Game 1 and have made a habit of posting comeback wins in Boston to start the series.

“We’ve got to respond,” Celtics star Jaylen Brown said after the loss.

Pierce does not seem thrilled about matters. He shared a post on X Wednesday after Boston’s loss showing a map of his upcoming walk. The 20.2 mile walk is projected to take 8 hours and 2 minutes.

Who thinks Pierce will actually pay off the terms of his guarantee?
