Just days after turning heads at the Kentucky Derby, Olivia Dunne swapped her Derby dress for a bikini and dropped some big life updates from the beach. The 22-year-old former LSU gymnast took a moment during her well-earned vacation to reflect, recharge, and let fans in on what’s next.
In a video posted Tuesday night, Dunne walked barefoot along the sand in a leopard-print bikini, radiating calm and confidence. But her caption revealed just how much she’s juggling behind the scenes.
“First semester grad school done, house hunting at the beach, bought a nyc apt, and walking to get a piña colada life is sweet like cinnamon,” she wrote.
New Chapter, Same Hustle
Life hasn’t slowed down since Dunne announced her retirement from gymnastics following LSU’s semifinal exit at the NCAA Championships in April. The former All-American closed that chapter with gratitude and grace.
“Time flies when you’re having fun,” Dunne wrote in an emotional farewell. “You’ve shaped me into the person I am today, creating memories and sisterhoods that will last a lifetime beyond the sport. You are my first love.”

Now, she’s diving into new challenges with the same focus that made her one of NCAA gymnastics’ most recognizable faces. While finishing her first semester of graduate school, she’s also making big moves in real estate, splitting time between New York City and coastal house-hunting trips. The balance of ambition and relaxation has fans both inspired and impressed.
And she’s not done making waves. Later this month, Dunne will appear in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit for the second time, this time from Bermuda. Editor MJ Day emphasized Dunne’s evolution beyond the gym.
“Last year, we featured Livvy the D1 athlete,” Day said. “This year, we are featuring Livvy as a well-established, industrious entrepreneur who continues to break barriers and forge an unforgettable path.”
Whether she’s flipping across a beam, walking into a lecture hall, or sipping a piña colada at the beach, Dunne continues to navigate her post-gymnastics life with poise and drive. She may have hung up her leotard, but she’s clearly just getting started.
