Now, it is evident that the Lakers will be looking for a third superstar joining their ranks. And only James can help his team get it.
Now, both LeBron James and Luka Doncic are expected to get massive contract extensions. And this will surely burn a hole in the Lakers’ pocket. Thus, it will become utterly difficult for them to bring in another superstar due to a lack of finances. But what if James opts for a massive pay cut?

Nichols opined that James will always be underpaid in the NBA. This is because the contributions he has made toward the sport cannot be measured in financial terms. Thus, according to Nichols, if James did opt for a pay cut, his net worth wouldn’t take much of a hit. However, this situation would only arise if James stays with the Lakers!
