Fans are growing frustrated with the UFC for not announcing the Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall fight, which has the entire MMA community buzzing. The matchup is massive, with Jones widely regarded as the GOAT and many believing Aspinall has what it takes to beat him. Adding to the hype, MMA legend Demetrious Johnson recently shared his thoughts, saying the English heavyweight could reach ultimate star status if he manages to win.

White has announced the major PPV events for the year, but fans are still waiting for news on Jones vs. Aspinall. While UFC CEO Dana White has confirmed the fight will happen eventually, saying it’s just a matter of time, the MMA community is already making predictions. Among them, MMA legend Demetrious Johnson shared his take, saying that if Aspinall beats Jones, he could become the sport’s biggest star. In a recent YouTube video, Johnson said:

“In my opinion, I think it’s a huge risk. You’re younger, you’re athletic, you hit hard, you pose problems. We don’t have much data on you. You blitz across the void, so if you get across the void and Jon gets hit, he might go down. If that happens, you become the biggest star ever — you just slayed the GOAT.”

The fight is undeniably massive, so much so that ‘Bones’ has reportedly asked the UFC for a significantly higher payday. This could potentially be the retirement bout for the heavyweight champion, making the stakes even more exciting.
