The Los Angeles Clippers had yet another disappointing end to their season. Falling to the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the playoffs, they will once again have to come back afresh next season. However, that being said, the Clippers recently received news that would elevate their tensions further. Trying to find a perfect balance in the team, one of their star players might retire soon!

According to a recent update, Clippers’ Nic Batum will be calling it quits after the next season. Batum, now 36, has donned the Clippers’ jersey for four seasons now. During the course of his career, the French star has appeared in 285 regular season games. Averaging 6.4 points per game, Batum also had an impressive 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists during this time.

“There’s a very, very good chance that the next season will be my last,” Batum said.

Now then, with Batum retiring after the 2025-26 season, he is not the only one in mind for the Clippers. They do have a lot of things to sort. One of the biggest problems is their ageing roster. With James Harden and Kawhi Leonard now 35 and 33 years old respectively, the team would soon need to find a suitable alternative. Meanwhile, with the Clippers facing a crisis, Russell Westbrook had a vicious message for his former team.

Russell Westbrook was traded by the Los Angeles Clippers. And he did not forget the incident. Thus, when the Denver Nuggets faced the Clippers this year, Westbrook was presented with a golden opportunity. Shunning the Clippers 121-101, Westbrook proved why trading him was a bad idea for the Clippers. Scoring an impressive dunk, Westbrook made sure that his former team crashed out.

After the game, Westbrook gave a savage reply, saying, “Picked the wrong person, didn’t they?”

Thus, with problems galore, it now remains to be seen how things pan out in the upcoming future.
