It appears the rivalry between the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics has taken a dangerous turn.
Down 2-0 to New York in the second round, Boston has a big challenge ahead of them.
Boston was once again well on their way to taking care of business in Game 2 as they led by 20 points in the third quarter, but things went downhill fast. The Knicks ended the game on a 23-6 run and walked away with a win after Jalen Brunson hit a pair of clutch free throws.
Inside TD Garden were thousands of Boston fans and hundreds of fans from New York who made the trip.
The shock of losing both games has clearly gotten to Celtic fans.
Footage from outside the arena shows the home team’s fan base attacking Knicks fans in the streets. Two fans could be seen being thrown to the ground and being punched by several people before local police moved in.
What makes it worse is that a New York fan found himself in a headlock from an officer as he got thrown to the ground and was likely arrested.

So, not only did he get assaulted, but he likely got arrested and had to spend the night in jail.
Knicks have A Chance To Sweep The Celtics

Boston and New York are going head-to-head in the playoffs for the first time since 2013. The Knicks are up 2-0, winning two games in Boston in an eerily similar fashion to begin the series.
The Knicks trailed by 20 points in the third quarter of both Games 1 and 2 before they completed incredible comebacks.
The Celtics, who have missed 75 3-pointers through two games, entered as heavy favorites to win the series.
Now, it appears that New York can sweep their most hated rival.
