If you are planning to travel to visit the United States for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, JD Vance has one clear message for you.

Vice President recently had a chat with soccer fans gearing up for the World Cup, hosted by the U.S., along with Canada and Mexico.

He wanted to make sure everyone knows they’re welcome to join in the excitement, but he also had an important reminder: don’t overstay your visa!

“Of course, everyone is welcome to come and see this wonderful event. We want them to come, we want them to celebrate, we want them to watch the games. But when the time is up, we want them to go home. Otherwise, they will have to talk to Secretary Noem,” Vance said.

With more than 5 million fans expected to flock to the tournament, Vance reassured attendees at a White House event, saying the administration welcomes everybody. Though there are some important points to keep in mind.

He was referring to Kristi Noem, the Homeland Security Secretary, who has gotten quite a reputation for her immigration enforcement efforts.

Vance’s message was all in good humor, but he really wants visitors to understand the importance of sticking to their travel plans.

While JD Vance took the harsh road to make his stance clear on the FIFA fans overstaying in the States, President Donald Trump had a different approach

He expressed his strong belief that the 2026 World Cup will be the best soccer tournament ever. He made grand statements about the tournament’s expected success while sitting beside FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

“Together, we will ensure that the 2026 World Cup will be the best-run soccer tournament the world has ever seen. This is going to blow every other tournament you did. You’re gonna say, ‘how terrible a job you did in the past, because this is so much better,’ Gianni. This is going to blow ‘em all away,” Trump said to FIFA president Gianni Infantino.

Additionally, Trump shared a personal note about his son, Barron, who is a passionate soccer fan and enjoys the sport.

He humorously acknowledged Barron’s height, suggesting that he might not fit the typical profile for a soccer player.

Furthermore, Trump appointed Andrew Giuliani to lead a task force dedicated to overseeing the preparations for the upcoming World Cup. Andrew is the son of Rudy Giuliani and a former aide in Trump’s administration.
