Jaylen Brown talking trash

Jaylen Brown was feeling himself during the first half of Wednesday’s playoff game.

The Boston Celtics star forward Brown went viral in Game 2 of his team’s second-round playoff series against the New York Knicks at TD Garden in Boston, Mass. During the second quarter, Brown got Knicks guard Josh Hart isolated on him and hit Hart with a couple of moves before sinking a turnaround midrange jumper in Hart’s face (plus a foul).

After scoring the basket, Brown could be seen on the TNT broadcast delivering a profane five-word message. “You can’t f–k with me,” said Brown (in reference to Hart). Here is the video.

The Celtics lost Game 1 of the series at home in an embarrassing meltdown, blowing a 20-point second half lead to the Knicks and even setting a shameful all-time record in the process. But Boston certainly came out firing in Game 2 on Wednesday.

By halftime, the Celtics were leading 50-41 as Brown paved the way with 17 points on 7/16 shooting (with Derrick White also chipping in 14 points by the break). Since the next two games of the series are set to be played in New York, Game 2 was an absolute must-win for Boston in every sense of the phrase.

Meanwhile, Hart, a standout role player, defender, and energy guy, does have a propensity for getting underneath the skin of opponents. During one of the last times that the Knicks and the Celtics met, Hart drew attention online for pulling a shameful move.
