The New York Knicks will be facing off against the Boston Celtics in what will be a make or break game. With the conference semifinal Game 6 coming up, the Celtics are currently trailing by a 2-3 deficit. However, that being said, the Boston Celtics are not a team to be taken lightly. Thus, to ensure a smooth play, they would need their full squad intact. But as far as Kristaps Porzingis is concerned, things are looking a little bleak.

As per the latest news from ‘ESPN’, Porzingis has not been listed on the injury list. However, despite that, the probability of Porzingis showing up in today’s game has been quite bleak. During the past few games, the big man has suffered significantly with his illness. And although he had wanted to power through, the Celtics might not take a risk by playing him tonight unless absolutely necessary.

Looking back at how the situation with Porzingis went, the NBA star had some positive updates after Game 4. But just a couple of days later, Porzingis struggled significantly and went off the field in Game 5. Meanwhile, with the situation with Porzingis looking a bit complex, coach Joe Mazzulla gave some insights after their latest win.

Joe Mazzulla came out to address what is going wrong with Kristaps Porzingis. With the Celtics securing a dominant victory in Game 5, Porzingis looked significantly out of sorts. He only played 12 minutes, in which Porzingis managed to put up just one point, one rebound, and one block.

Shedding light on the matter, coach Joe stated that Porzingis was having difficulty breathing. He also said that the big man wanted to be out on the bench to chip in for his team despite the illness. Thus, in all probability, the Celtics’ management might not feature Porzingis in the starting 5. This might be a significant blow, considering they have just lost the services of Jayson Tatum. With a lot put at stake, it now remains to be seen how things pan out as Game 6 unfolds.
