Giannis Antetokounmpo has been messing around with the fans on the internet! As the Bucks’ star waits to announce his next move for the upcoming season, he has decided to have some fun with the netizens. Having engaged in a question and answer session on X, Antetokounmpo had quite a number of interesting answers to fan questions. And some of his replies were so wild that the hoops nation went into speculation mode immediately.

During the session, a fan asked Antetokounmpo about his favorite city to play in on the road. And quite surprisingly, the Bucks’ star replied, “New York.” Now, the Brooklyn Nets have been rumored to land Antetokounmpo in a blockbuster deal. Thus, the NBA star’s cryptic message only fueled the rumors further. However, as it turns out, Antetokounmpo was not serious at all while giving these replies.

In a recent post, Antetokounmpo revealed his original intentions. It turned out that he has been playing around with the over enthusiastic internet fans.

“Life is more fun that way,” wrote Antetokounmpo.

Surely, while Antetokounmpo might be joking, rumors around his trade talks are not subsiding anytime soon. Meanwhile, a recent report clearly depicted the Milwaukee Bucks’ reluctance in letting Giannis Antetokounmpo go.

After the conclusion of the current season, it was thought that Antetokounmpo will surely be leaving the Bucks. However, according to latest reports, the Bucks are having some lengthy discussions with Giorgios Panou and Alex Saratsis. Meanwhile, Sam Amick from ‘The Athletic’ also had some interesting updates regarding the matter.

Jon is not going to just try to be on good terms with Giannis—he’s trying to do right by the Bucks. And that means that if every scenario in play leaves the other team so gutted that Giannis might not actually be in that much better of a situation, then maybe that’s where he looks at the room and says, ‘All right, let me stay put,’” Amick wrote.

Thus, with things looking quite complicated at the moment, it will be interesting to see what lies ahead for Giannis Antetokounmpo.
