
Florida football starting cornerback Dijon Johnson is in some serious trouble. He was arrested on May 2 in Tampa.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Website, Johnson was arrested by Tampa Police on May 2 and booked in the early morning hours of May 3.
The charges are as follows:
- Third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance
- Second-degree felony possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony
- Misdemeanor resisting officer without violence
- Misdemeanor possession of cannabis under 20 grams
He was released on May 4 with a bond set at $5,000.

Johnson is preparing for his third season at Florida and is coming off the most productive season of his career in 2024.
As a sophomore, the 6-foot-1, 196-pound Dijon Johnson appeared in all 13 games for the Florida Gators, making five starts. He finished the season with 25 tackles, two pass breakups, one quarterback hurry, and one tackle for loss.
During the offseason, Johnson underwent shoulder surgery but was still in line for the starting cornerback job at Florida.

The Florida Gators received some bad news on Tuesday after learning about cornerback Dijon Johnson’s arrest.
He is facing four charges, including felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis less than 20 grams, resisting arrest without violence, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
