
Sovereignty on Saturday won the 151st running of the Kentucky Derby, but it’s the horse he beat that had everyone making jokes.
Sovereignty, which had 7-1 odds, beat Journalism, which had 3-1 odds. Folks all joked that Journalism the horse losing in the race was a metaphor for society and the status of journalism as an industry and profession.
