Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the standout player for the Oklahoma City Thunder, has established himself as a key figure in the NBA, recognised for his exceptional skills on the court and his leadership abilities. However, he often faces the label of “free-throw merchant.”

The Oklahoma City Thunder recently played Game 1 of their Western Conference Finals series against the Minnesota Timberwolves. During the post-game interview, Doris Burke had fans laughing when she referred to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as a free-throw merchant.

The OKC Thunder recently kicked off their thrilling Western Conference Finals series against the Timberwolves at the buzzing Paycom Center. Gilgeous-Alexander dazzled fans with an outstanding performance, clocking in 38 minutes on the court while racking up 31 points, dishing out nine assists, and grabbing five rebounds. Meanwhile, Jalen Williams shined as well, contributing 19 points, five assists, and eight rebounds in his 33 minutes of play.

Chet Holmgren also made his mark by scoring 15 points, alongside three assists and seven rebounds during his 26 minutes on the floor. These remarkable efforts culminated in an impressive 114-88 victory for the Thunder against the Timberwolves. Game 2 of the series is set to unfold soon on 22nd May 2025 at the same electrifying venue.
