The New York Yankees just defeated one of the best teams in the league in walk-off fashion. The Yanks dropped Game 1 against the San Diego Padres, but they fought back in Game 2 and clinched the series with the help of J.C. Escarra.
The Yanks were tied 3-3 and were forced to enter an extra inning. Devin Williams stepped in on the mound and struck out Xander Bogaerts with the bases loaded. The team’s bullpen did a fantastic job of preventing the Padres from scoring.
J.C. Escarra recorded a sacrifice fly deep to left field and drove in Jasson Dominguez. Yankees fans were on their feet celebrating their impressive victory. Fans took to social media to praise the team for their performance.
