After years of avoiding the news, she admitted on a podcast that a visit to AmFest in Phoenix marked her first deep dive into the political scene. “It was only a little over a year ago that I went to my first ever political event,” she said. “At that point, I didn’t know who Charlie Kirk was. I had never paid attention to politics and, in fact, quite specifically avoided the news since like 2018.”
That changed quickly. After meeting Tucker Carlson at the event, she appeared on his show, then on Kirk’s. From there, she acknowledged, “I guess I am in politics now.”
This week’s trip to the Capitol cemented that. Patrick praised the recent nomination of Dr. Casey Means- @drcaseyskitchen on Instagram- for U.S. Surgeon General. Her tone reflected genuine enthusiasm. “What a time to be alive!” she wrote. Her comments weren’t just political, though. She added humor, noting her fashion choice: “Gold button tops mean business.”
While some might still see her as the trailblazer on the racetrack, Patrick appears fully invested in this new direction.
