The Dallas Cowboys are taking some heat online following a video surfacing on X, formerly known as Twitter, which shows a few of their players trash-talking Philadelphia Eagles second-year star Quinyon Mitchell.

Mitchell is coming off an impressive rookie season in which he helped the Eagles win a Super Bowl and embellished his reputation as a lockdown cornerback after coming into the league with huge expectations.

The former Toledo standout even earned the nickname “Quinyonomo Bay” for his excellent coverage of some of the league’s most dangerous wideouts. But the Cowboys, who lost to the Eagles by huge margins twice last season, don’t think he can be effective against them in his second year, at least not Micah Parsons or CeeDee Lamb.

“That ‘Quinyonimo Bay’ don’t last over here man. That s**t dead.. They talking ‘bout “You going to Quinyonimo Bay’,” Parsons was heard saying to Lamb during what appeared to be an offseason golfing outing.

“Stop the cap. I ain’t never been locked down,” Lamb replied.

Mitchell held Lamb to a meager five yards in their one matchup last season. The CB was targeted once while covering Lamb, allowing one reception for the aforementioned gain.

He also notably shut down Ja’Marr Chase, holding the Cincinnati Bengals star to 16 yards, while former Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills WR Amari Cooper only registered 10 yards against him.

“That’s really all Micah does! He so desperately wants to wear green!” someone commented.

“Didn’t Cooper Rush have 45 passing yards that game? I wonder why CeeDee was held to so little yardage,” another user offered.

“@MicahhParsons11 cares and talks about the Eagles more than his own team ,” said a third.

“You know Quinyon just filed this away for Week 1 trash talk,” someone else wrote.

“The culture in that building is salty garbage. That’s what keeps them perennial losers,” a comment read.

Quinyon Mitchell played 16 games as a rookie in 2024, registering 46 tackles (37 solo) and breaking up 12 passes.

While he didn’t record an interception during the regular season, he made two big ones in the playoffs – against the Green Bay Packers and Washington Commanders – to help his team come out of the NFC.

The 2024 first-round pick will look to build on his reputation in Year 2 and, as fate would have it, gets to play the Cowboys in the first game of the season.
