Cameras caught Chicago Sky star Angel Reese committing a dirty foul in the Chicago Sky-New York Liberty Game on Tuesday evening.
Frustrations are quickly mounting for the Sky, who are 2-6 on the season through eight games. The Sky dropped their first four games of 2025 before picking up consecutive wins, only to cancel it out by losing the next two contests.
Five of Chicago’s six losses have come by double-digits, including an ugly 79-52 home loss to the Caitlin Clark-less Indiana Fever on Saturday. The first of their three-game road trip couldn’t have gone much worse, with Angel Reese and company falling 85-66 to the Liberty on Tuesday.
During the contest, Angel Reese was called for a foul after bumping into Liberty star Leonie Fiebich. The referees reviewed the play and upgraded the call to a “flagrant foul” against Reese:

It’s been a big week for Angel Reese, who was named the winner of the BET Award for Sportswoman of the Year for the third straight year. She had a double-double in the loss to New York, recording 17 points and 11 rebounds to go along with three assists.
Reese and the Sky will try to get back on the victory track when they visit the Atlanta Dream on Friday night. This will be the first of four regular season meetings between the two clubs.
Angel Reese & Chicago Sky Have Time To Turn It Around

The good news for Reese and the Sky is that the season is still young, and there’s plenty of time to get back into the playoff picture. The Golden State Valkyries occupy the final playoff spot with a 4-5 record, so Chicago is only 1.5 games out of the postseason picture.
Atlanta earned the final playoff spot last year with a 15-25 record. Indiana got in as the No. 6 seed at 20-20, so the Sky are still very much alive in the playoff race.
