The Los Angeles Dodgers were no match for the Arizona Diamondbacks as they dropped their series opener with a 5-3 final score. Despite having Yoshinobu Yamamoto on the mound, the D’backs’ offense was incredible.

Yamamoto surrendered a grand slam to Gabriel Moreno at the bottom of the fourth inning. In the next inning, Ketel Marte went deep and increased their score to 5-0. Shohei Ohtani hit a solo home run while Max Muncy and Andy Pages contributed RBIs. However, Michael Conforto was out at the bottom of the eighth when they were trailing 5-2.

Dodgers fans are upset with Conforto’s inconsistency, as they took to social media to criticize him. Fans are demanding that the team DFA the slugger. Here are some fan reactions from X.

“Keep playing him every night. Bro had more Double plays than hits,” one fan wrote.

“$17 million to take a shit and pick his nose on a baseball field,” another fan wrote.

“Send conforto to the sun yesterday,” one fan said.

“Please Please Please DFA Conforto!” one fan replied.

“Im sick and tired of Comforto!!!” another fan chipped in.

“That’s all he does hit double plays and retarded Dave roberts keeps starting him,” another fan chimed in.

Brandon Pfaadt secured the win after an excellent outing on the mound. Pfaadt dominated his opponents as they failed to score a single run. He tossed 6.1 scoreless innings and surrendered only four hits.

Pfaadt walked three and struck out six opponent hitters. Chase Field was on its feet to watch Pfaadt’s stellar performance. The Dodgers’ offense crumbled and was unable to do much against their bullpen.

Their fans recently criticized Dave Roberts and his team after a huge extra-inning loss against the Miami Marlins.
