Most New York Jets fans know that two of their star players, Quincy and Quinnen Williams, are brothers. But if all goes well, they could soon be accompanied by their younger brother.

There aren’t many brothers in league history who played on the same team together, so it’s special enough that Quincy and Quinnen Williams get to play together with the Jets, especially on the same unit.

But in a new and exciting development, the Williams family got some celebratory post-draft news. The Jets have invited their younger brother, Giovanni Williams, to a tryout at rookie minicamp.

Giovanni shared the exciting news on his Instagram story:

The Jets’ rookie minicamp will run from Friday to Sunday. The team made seven selections in the 2025 NFL Draft: Missouri offensive lineman Armand Membou, LSU tight end Mason Taylor, Florida State cornerback Azareye’h Thomas, Georgia wide receiver Arian Smith, Alabama safety Malachi Moore, Miami linebacker Francisco Mauigoa and edge rusher Tyler Baron.

Quincy and Quinnen Williams were both drafted in 2019. The latter went third overall to the Jets, and Quincy was a third-round pick (98th overall) by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Quincy spent his first two seasons with the Jaguars before getting waived and picked up by the Jets in 2021.

The Jets are coming off a miserable 5-12 season that led to sweeping changes. Aaron Glenn and Darren Mougey were hired as the new head coach and general manager, respectively, and Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams were released to kick-start a rebuild. The Jets signed Justin Fields to replace Rodgers at quarterback.

Williams has been one of the NFL’s best defensive tackles since entering the league as a rookie, but the Jets have failed to build around him. He’s earned three straight Pro Bowl nods and has 39 sacks in 90 games, but the club hasn’t finished better than 7-10 since his arrival.

The Jets have the longest active NFL playoff drought, having last qualified in 2010. We’ll see if the significant changes across the board will change their luck in 2025.
