The Denver Nuggets grabbed the series again with their last game six victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Approaching their next clash, 7, they focus on the health of their key forward, Aaron Gordon. The 28-year-old hurt his left hamstring late in game 6, casting a doubt on his availability for Sunday’s do-or-die game.

Gordon faced his injury in the final minutes of Denver’s 119-107 victory, clearly hampered in the final moments. After the game, Interim Coach David Adelman expressed significant concern, stating, “The concern level is high, but DA’s excited about the two-day rest.”

He further added, “It’s too early to know much about Aaron Gordon’s hamstring,” indicating the extent of the injury remains unknown.

This could not be a worse moment for the Nuggets. Aaron Gordon has been delivering his career-best playoff performance, averaging 17.8 points and 7.3 rebounds. Beyond the numbers, his two clutch buzzer-beaters and powerful defense were crucial.

If Gordon remains sidelined, the Nuggets will lose his two-way contributions. Defensively, his absence could create a major gap, especially on the perimeter against the Thunder’s talents. Nikola Jokic would have to do more defensively inside, which the Thunder could take advantage of.

A two-day rest before Game 7 will prove critical, but it’s far from a possibility as Adelman remains highly concerned but has not received a definitive medical update. Denver without Gordon becomes significantly more vulnerable, though they managed to respond in all ways. Whether Gordon plays or not, Denver will have a monumental challenge on Sunday night. But with a trip to the Western Conference finals, Gordon’s healthy and strong comeback will bring massive momentum to the Nuggets’ depth.
