Pacquiao has not fought since losing to Yordenis Ugas in 2021 via unanimous decision. Pac-Man is 62-8-2 in his professional boxing career. He had won three fights in a row prior to his loss to Ugas. Pacquiao has won world championships in eight different divisions during his career, which is more than any fighter in history.
A politician in the Philippines, Pacquiao is running for a senate spot in his home country. He was expected to make an announcement about his upcoming fight following Monday’s election.
The Pacquiao-Barrios fight was first confirmed by WBC President Mauricio Sulamain earlier this month.
