New information has emerged about an intriguing move Giannis Antetokounmpo pulled earlier this season as trade rumors swirl around the Milwaukee Bucks star.

During February’s All-Star festivities in San Francisco, Antetokounmpo made a surprise appearance at Steph Curry’s party at Chase Center, according to Logan Murdock of The Ringer. That gave some the impression that Antetokounmpo would be open to teaming up with Curry someday.

Realistically, the Warriors are likely unable to make a trade offer that could be enticing to the Bucks. It still is worth noting, as Antetokounmpo has previously seemed reluctant to pursue a trade or name potential destinations if he did.

Antetokounmpo rumors have increased after the Bucks’ early exit from the playoffs, coupled with a report that the star might at least consider a deal. That is still a long way away from a trade actually happening, and even if it did, the Warriors are not a likely landing spot.

The 30-year-old Antetokounmpo remains one of the league’s brightest stars, as he averaged 30.4 points and 11.9 rebounds per game this season. The idea of him and Curry together is tantalizing, even if unlikely.
