Jon Jones has clarified that he is not interested in fighting Tom Aspinall. Jones opined that Aspinall is nothing but just hype, and thus, he will not be entertaining the idea. Now then, apart from this, Jones also recently took shots at Daniel Cormier and Chael Sonnen. And this is exactly what former UFC double champion, Cormier is not liking at all.
In a fiery verbal attack, DC went off on his former rival. Speaking about Jones, Cormier stated that he was doing all the talking rather than focusing on the main thing. DC further lashed out, saying that as the champion, he would have surely fought Tom
Aspinall or whoever the title contender was.
“You’re talking about me, Francis, Chael, and almost ignoring the right thing… If I was still fighting today, and I was still the heavyweight champion and Tom Aspinall was the #1 contender, I would’ve already fought him. 1000%,” said Cormier.

The fiasco about whether or not Jones will fight Aspinall has been going on for a long time. Despite confirmation from Dana White, Aspinall is still waiting for his title opportunity. Meanwhile, as Aspinall has been inactive for almost a year, Jones recently questioned his longevity.
Jon Jones Mocks Tom Aspinall Citing He Is Not ‘Special’

Jon Jones has surely stood the test of time. He has been one of the biggest stars and has defended his title against some quality opponents. Now, while Jones is being touted to face Aspinall, he is questioning his longevity in the long run. Not only that, Jones also mocked his fans by stating that the interim champion is not someone ‘special.’
“Unfortunately, my boy is not as special as his fan base thinks he is right now. I’ve seen Tom get tapped out twice now by two different people. Time will show. Here today gone tomorrow,” said Jones.
