Triple H seems interested in a WWE-NBA crossover. With the NBA Eastern Conference Finals between the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers just a few days away, the WWE universe already saw Jalen Brunson and Tyrese Haliburton facing off against each other.

Knicks guard Hart and Pacers guard Haliburton’s involvement in WWE means it has opened the gates for more NBA stars. Triple H’s recent X post states the same. He ironically stated that many guys are trying to get on WWE this summer.

WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Triple H, added fuel to the hype by tweeting, “My phone hasn’t stopped buzzing since Friday. #SummerSlam is coming to @MetLifeStadium in August…”

The tweet sparks buzz among sports and wrestling fans and points towards a possible NBA-WWE crossover. With Jalen Brunson and Tyrese Haliburton already linked to WWE, fans now expect to see them involved in some form at SummerSlam, one of WWE’s biggest shows of the year.

After the New York Knicks beat the Boston Celtics to reach the Eastern Conference Finals, fans returned to an old WWE SmackDown clip from last summer. The video showed Jalen Brunson and Tyrese Haliburton facing off like wrestlers, like they will do in the real NBA playoffs.

The timing felt too perfect, and people online joked that WWE predicted the matchup. It played into the fun idea that sports leagues like the NBA follow a script, making the video go viral again.

Knicks guard Josh Hart joined the fun and shouted at WWE’s creativity. “WWE writes a great script,” Hart joked. “There’s gonna be a lot of guys that’re going to be trying to get on WWE this summer.”

He then spoke earnestly about the upcoming battle between Jalen and Haliburton.

“They’re two of the best point guards not just in the East, but in the league. It’s gonna be fun,” Hart said and added, “They both have two different playing styles. JB is more of a scoring guard. Tyrese runs that offense, gets guys involved, pushes the pace, those kinds of things. So there’s gonna be [a] back-and-forth matchup.”

With all the Buzz, fans wouldn’t be surprised to see more NBA players in the WWE ring soon.
