After reconsidering his decision, five-star quarterback Jared Curtis has decided to join the Georgia Bulldogs’ program, after all
In October, the No. 1 quarterback of the 2026 class stunned everyone when he announced that he was reopening his commitment after announcing his plans to join Georgia seven months earlier.
Well, Jared Curtis ultimately decided that Kirby Smart’s powerhouse football program was, in fact, the best fit for him. In an X/Twitter post, Curtis announced that he is” 100% committed” to Georgia:

Hayes Fawcett of On3.com received a confirmation message from Curtis himself, with the highly-touted quarterback telling him, “Go Dawgs! Let’s roll.”

Jared Curtis, who is listed at slightly over 6 feet 3 inches and 225 pounds, is a product of Nashville Christian School. He was named the 2024 MaxPreps Tennessee Player of the Year and led the school to a 12-1 record and Division II-A state championship.
The Bulldogs’ starting quarterback, Carson Beck, surprised many when he decided to transfer to Miami instead of declaring for the NFL Draft. Beck backed up Stetson Bennett in Georgia’s back-to-back national championship-winning squads in 2021 and 2022 before taking over as their starter in 2023.
In his final season at Georgia, Carson Beck threw for 3,485 yards, 28 touchdowns and 12 interceptions and one rushing score. Gunner Stockton and Ryan Puglisi will compete for Georgia’s starting QB job in 2025.
Jared Curtis Makes The Wise Decision
The Bulldogs have been a powerhouse under Coach Smart, and he’s done an excellent job developing quality quarterbacks since taking over as the head coach in 2016.
Curtis will work with one of the top coaches in the country, and playing on a star-studded Georgia team will help him make a smooth transition to the college ranks.
